Air amplifier

For transporting light materials, aspirating vapours, smoke or air or for rapid cooling, the air movers are eminently suitable and inexpensive. A small volume of compressed air serves as the source of energy (from a normal compressor), which together with the ambient air in the air mover is converted to an airstream with a high volume but low pressure (Coanda effect).
Air movers are extremely quiet and are highly efficient. The ratio of initial to final volume flow can be up to 1:100. In many cases this reduces the consumption of expensive compressed air.

METHOD OF OPERATION
An air mover is a volume amplifier. A small volume with a high pressure (1 to 10 bar) is transformed into a larger volume with lower pressure. This volume flow reaches a flow velocity of up to 333 m/s (speed of sound).
